Archery Available to Area Veterans

| February 13, 2014 | 2 Comments

We are excited to announce that The Archery Zone in Larksville has created a no cost veterans only program (guardsmen and reservists are also invited to participate).

The purpose of the program is to provide a healthy activity and indoor sport accessible to veterans of all abilities and experience, from novice to expert – no experience is required. Highly experienced instructors include veterans from various eras and branches of the military.

The Archery Zone is located at 35 Wilson St., Larksville, PA 18704

Hours for the program are 12:00 – 5:00pm, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

Reservations are required. Please contact Jerry Gronchick, NFAA Certified Instructor, at 570-287-1421 or by email at jgronchick@verizon.net to reserve your place now.

We recently met with Jerry and owner Ed Krystofosky onsite at The Archery Zone to talk about this exciting opportunity. We are delighted to have a local business like The Archery Zone step up to provide a wholesome activity for area veterans to network with one another in a positive environment and learn a new sport (or improve your game!).

Many thanks to Jerry, Ed, and all the staff at The Archery Zone for reaching out to Northeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Multicare Alliance with a creative program to help serve those who have served!

Is there any public or private transportation for vets who live in Clarks Summit?

We suggest contacting Jerry – He may be able to help coordinate ride share if there are others from the Clark Summit area that will be participating. Also, if there is a group that would like to attend from the area perhaps a Veterans’ Service Organization (VFW, Legion, etc.) would provide van service. If needed we can help make the calls.
